Nebraska Farm Bureau Hoping For Farm Bill Completion

Nebraska Farm Bureau Hoping For Farm Bill Completion

Farm Bill principal negotiators are working during the Holiday break on trying to come to an agreement to pass a new five year farm bill. Nebraska Farm Bureau’s National Affairs Coordinator Jordan Dux says it’s positive they’re still talking and the hope is they’ll get it done before the end of the year. He says some of the remaining sticking issues still need to be resolved.

Dux says while he’s hopeful conferees will pass a farm bill, it’s unknown what may happen once it gets to both the House and Senate floors.

He says it’s positive negotiators are still talking and that provides hope resolution on new legislation will come.
