National Honors For Area Gridders

Football players from South Dakota State, Morningside and Nebraska have received national recognition for off the field success.

Allstate Insurance and the American Football Coaches Association have announced their “Good Works” team. The squad honors players for positive impact they have had on their communities and the lives of others.

South Dakota State defensive back Winston Wright and Morningside punter Jordan Sitzman were named to the 11-player squad from FCS, NAIA and Division II and III schools. Nebraska fullback C. J. Zimmerer was tabbed from the FBS teams.
