More Money For Education

South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard has proposed a three percent increase for the states K – 12 schools. That was an increase from the one point six percent increase that had been talked about earlier.

Representative Mike Stevens of Yankton says that’s a welcome change…

Stevens says legislators will have to have more of a debate on how much goes to the state budget reserve…

Schools are still recovering from a ten percent cut in state aid that was passed in 2011.
