More Construction Planned For Avera

While Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton is just opening their new, seventeen million dollar, “Northern Lights” addition to the main hospital, more construction is being planned.

Hospital President Pam Rezac says they will move and rebuild an existing nursing home…

While the state has capped nursing home beds in the state for some time, Rezac says they will be able to free up some space for people who need advanced nursing  care…

Rezac says the project will also provide an upgrade in living space for the residents…

The construction will include a fifty thousand square foot facility adjacent to the existing Avera Majestic Bluffs development. Work will begin in the spring.
