Minnesota Ag Commissioner Touring State Touting RFS

Minnesota Ag Commissioner Dave Frederickson is on a three week tour of the state asking for support of the Renewable Fuel Standard and opposing EPA’s plan lowering the volume requirements.  He says the RFS is critical to the state’s economy as it provides jobs, cleaner air and reduces dependency on foreign oil as well as adds value for farmers.

Frederickson says the EPA proposal to lower the RFS volume requirements is bad policy.

Frederickson says there’s only three weeks left to get comments into EPA on their RFS proposal. He says those comments must be in by January 28 not postmarked by then but in and Minnesotans need to make their voices heard on this issue.
