Late Homers Rally Twins

Ryan Doumit and Josmil  Pinto hit home runs for the Twins in their 6-4 win over the Rays at Target Field.  Pinto drove in three runs and Trevor Plouffe had three hits.  Casey Fien got the win in relief for Minnesota though he only pitched a third-of-an-inning.  The Twins trailed 4-2 going into the bottom of the eighth inning but scored four runs to take the lead.

The Twins begin their final road trip of the season tonight in Chicago against the White Sox.  The teams will play three games before Minnesota heads to Oakland for four.  Liam Hendricks gets the ball tonight.  He is 1-and-2 with a 5.25 ERA in seven starts this season.  The Sox will counter with rookie Erik Johnson, who is 0-and-2 with a 4.66 ERA in his first two career starts.
