Kearney Seeks A.D.

Kearney Seeks A.D.

Four finalists have been announced in the search for a new athletic director at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

The university has been seeking a replacement for Jon McBride. He announced in May that he would be stepping down July 31 for health reasons.

The university says the four finalists are Jean Berger, Mary Ellen Gillespie, Rick Goeb and Paul Plinske.

Berger has been senior associate athletic director/senior woman administrator at the University of Northern Iowa since 2008.

Gillespie is associate athletics director for external relations at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.

Goeb was director of athletics at Bemidji State University in Minnesota from 2001 to this year.

Plinske has been director of athletics at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater since 2004.
