Joe Is Back For Twins

Joe Is Back For Twins

The Twins have reinstated catcher Joe Mauer from the paternity list following the birth of his twins.  Mauer left the club last Tuesday and missed the final two games in Anaheim and all four games in Seattle.  The 30-year-old is hitting .324 with eight home runs and 34 RBI in 92 games this season.

The Twins open up a six-game homestand tonight against the Kansas City Royals.  The teams will play three games before Houston comes to town for three contests.  Mike Pelfrey will take the mound for Minnesota tonight.  He is 4-and-8 with a 5.15 ERA.  KC will counter with Ervin Santana, who is 6-and-6 with a 3.06 ERA.
