Jacks, Coyotes Rated High

South Dakota State and South Dakota are both top 15 ranked men’s cross country teams in the Midwest Region.The SDSU men’s cross country team is ranked 12th in the Midwest region by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) in their preseason regional rankings.

The Jackrabbits finished 2012 ranked 11th. South Dakota is the only other Summit League school ranked in the region. The Coyotes are ranked 13th.

Last week the Jackrabbits were picked to finish first in The Summit League by the coaches in their preseason poll.

The rankings break all Division I cross country teams into regions and are voted upon by the USTFCCCA.
