Iowa Ag Secretary Weighs In On Splitting Farm Bill

Iowa Ag Secretary Bill Northey accompanied Congressman Tom Latham at farm bill listening sessions in the state last week. Northey says farmers had many questions about proposals to split the nutrition and farm program titles in an effort to  get the bill passed after the House vote failed.

Northey says the House leadership is regrouping and trying to come up with a bill that’s palatable to both parties.

He says the House leadership wants to have their own bill.
