Huskers On The Road

The Nebraska football team is on the road Saturday at Purdue.  It’s the Huskers’ first Big Ten road game of the season after opening conference play last Saturday with a 39-19 home win over Illinois.  Nebraska is 4-and-1 on the season.  The 1-and-4 Boilermakers had a bye last Saturday following a 55-24 home loss to Northern Illinois.

Nebraska football will be honored next month in St. Louis.  Eight-year-old Jack Hoffman will present the Huskers with a sportsmanship award at The Musial Awards at Peabody Opera House.  His 69-yard TD run in the Huskers’ Red-White spring game became a YouTube sensation.  Hoffman has brain cancer, but is in remission.
