Huskers Add Texas Star

Huskers Add Texas Star

Nebraska football is prying another recruit out of Texas.  Three-star safety Josh Kalu of Alief Taylor High School announced via Twitter Monday that he is committing to the Huskers’ incoming class of 2014.  Kalu visited campus last month.  He tells the “World Herald” that he loved everything about it, from the atmosphere to the coaches.

The Nebraska football team has a bye this coming weekend.  The 21st-ranked Huskers will return to action a week from Saturday on the road at Minnesota.  Nebraska is off to a 2-and-0 start in Big Ten play with wins over Illinois and Purdue.  The Huskers are 5-and-1 overall.  The 4-and-2 Golden Gophers play at Northwestern Saturday.
