Heat Assistance Still Available

Payments for heat assistance are flowing out to low income households.

David Gall in the South Dakota Department of Social Services heads up the heat assistance office, and says their numbers are pretty stable…

 

The LIHEAP, or low income home energy assistance program is federally funded. Gall says they are not expecting any reductions…

 

Gall says the average payout for the heating season is about nine hundred sixty four dollars per household.

He says people can still sign up for the program…
