Health Centers Receive Grants

The US Department of Health and Human Services is handing out hundreds of millions of dollars to community health centers across the country as part of the roll out of the Affordable Care Act. The Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center Iowa will receive just over seventy two thousand dollars. Nancy Dykstra is the center’s executive director, and says the grant will help them educate people about their health insurance options…

Dykstra says they will be able to go to those that may not understand the changes…

Dykstra says they grant will allow them to add staff for the outreach…

Dykstra says they have about twenty five people on staff now, and serve about three thousand clients in North West Iowa.
