Growth Energy Wants Misleading Ads Pulled By Petroleum Group

Growth Energy officials have written AAA asking them to request that the American Petroleum Institute remove advertising that portrays AAA as anti ethanol.  Growth Energy CEO Tom Buis says the ads are misleading and need to be pulled.

Buis says API’s advertising campaign is geared to influence Congress to repeal the Renewable Fuel Standard.

He says RFS repeal legislation has been introduced in Congress but has not gotten anywhere. He says the measures haven’t been through any committees or any other legislative process and are mired in neutral.
