Group Receives Obamacare Grant

The US Department of Health and Human Services is giving community agencies over half a million dollars to help the uninsured sign up for health coverage under the Affordable Care Act. The Rural Office of Community Services, based in Lake Andes is one of the four regional agencies getting part of the grant. Darci Bultje is their community services director…

The sign up for the new health insurance exchanges begins on October first. Bultje says it will be tight, but they plan to be ready…

The four regional agencies will split three hundred thirty six thousand dollars, while the Great Plains Tribal Chairmen’s Health Board will receive two hundred sixty four thousand dollars.
