Former SD Senator Larry Pressler May Run Again

Former South Dakota Senator Larry Pressler is publicly talking about a possible run for his old seat next year.

Pressler was first elected to the Senate in 1978, and was defeated by current Senator Tim Johnson in 1996.

Pressler, who served as a republican, would run this time as an independent………

Pressler, who is now 71, says he would only serve one term………..

Pressler says the republican party has tilted too far in favor of social issues……

He says it’s about a fifty-fifty chance that he will run. Pressler says he will make a final decision early next year.
