Feeding South Dakota, a nonprofit group that works to provide meals to thousands of families in the state is in the middle of a six million dollar capital improvement plan.

Executive Director Matt Gassen says they are wrapping up the two million dollar plan for their facility in Rapid City…

The phase two plan would dedicate one million dollars to expand their facilities in Pierre. Gassen says they hope to wrap that part up later this year…

Gassen says they have had great leadership for the campaign…

Last year Feeding South Dakota raised gathered and distributed almost twelve and a half million pounds of food, and their goal this year is fourteen million pounds.
