Ethanol Coalition Pleased With RFS Volume Requirements Set By EPA

The Environmental Protection Agency has released the final Renewable Volume Obligations under the Renewable Fuel Standard. American Coalition for Ethanol Executive Vice President Brian Jennings says his group is pleased EPA kept the volume requirements intact for corn based ethanol.

Jennings says his group is also pleased EPA took their and other group’s advice and ratcheted down the volume requirements for cellulosic ethanol after setting it at 14 million gallons in March.

Jennings says it shows EPA can adjust the RFS when need be and there is no need to repeal it or reform it in any way as it continues to work.
