Education Funding Committee Meets

The Education Funding Formula study committee of the South Dakota legislature met  in Pierre to begin the process of again looking at how schools use state dollars. After hearing several pleas for more state funding, Representative Anne Hajek  of Sioux Falls said she wanted the committee to take a broad focus…

Representative Kathy Tyler of Big Stone City said she believe the committee was given broad authority by the Executive Board…

Representative Don Haggar of Sioux Falls suggested the committee spend considerable time on school technology issues…

The committee will meet again on July 29th and 30th.
