Downtown Yankton To Become Movie Set

Part of downtown Yankton will be a movie set later this month. The Yankton City Commission this week gave approval to moviemaker Dalton Coffee to block off a section of Walnut Street for the short film. Company spokesman, Clyde Teal explained the setting…

Teal said their company likes the setting they found in downtown Yankton…

City Manager Amy Nelson said she needed commission approval and proof of insurance to allow the movie shoot…

The commission approved the plan on and eight to zero vote. The filming will take place on Sunday July 21st.  Walnut Street in that area has a number of buildings from the late 19th and early 20th century.
