Doumit, Deduno Da Men

 Ryan Doumit homered and drove in two to help the Twins shutout the Royals 3-0.  Samuel Deduno did not allow a run on four hits and struck out five over six innings for the Twins.  Deduno improved to 2-and-1.  Glen Perkins earned his 12th save of the season.  Minnesota has won eight of its last 10 games. 

  The Twins continue their three-game series with the Royals tonight in Kansas City.  P.J. Walters gets the ball for Minnesota.  He is 2-and-0 with a 4.50 ERA in his first two starts.  KC will counter with Jeremy Guthrie, who is 5-and-3 with a 3.84 ERA.
