Coyote Star Honored

 For the second straight season, South Dakota’s Nicole Seekamp has been named the initial Summit League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. It’s the second time the junior has earned the honor in her career.

Seekamp averaged 19 points and six rebounds this past weekend as USD topped Cal State Fullerton 66-57 on Friday night and lost to UC Irvine 68-64 on Sunday afternoon. Seekamp scored at least 20 points for the ninth time in her career by netting 20 against UC Irvine. She also made 14 of 16 free throws and had six steals during the weekend.

The Coyotes will face Iowa State on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Hilton Coliseum.
