Court Strikes Down DOMA

Nebraska Senator Deb Fischer says she believes the Supreme Court handed down limited rulings on same-sex marriage. The court struck down the Defense of Marriage Act and upheld the right of same-sex couples to marry in California. Fischer says ruling against the Defesne of Marriage Act shouldn’t have an effect on Nebraska law. . .

Fischer won’t criticize the Supreme Court for its rulings on same-sex marriage. She won’t praise the court, either for striking down the Defense of Marriage Act. . .

The court also struck down Proposition 8, making same-sex marriage legal in California.
