Corn Growers President Defends RFS

Wednesday, National Corn Growers President Pam Johnson who farms in Iowa testified before the House Subcommittee on Energy and Power about the importance of keeping the Renewable Fuel Standard intact.  She says the RFS has and is positively impacting the agriculture sector by creating jobs and promoting rural development.

Johnson says farmers need to let lawmakers know how important the RFS is especially to counter efforts by groups who want to dismantle it.

Johnson encourages growers to call the Capital Switchboard at 202—224—3121 and weigh in on the issue.
