Community Health Services Expanding to Yankton

The Union County Health Foundation is getting a grant of just over eight hundred fifty thousand dollars to set up a community health center in Yankton. The money from the federal Health and Human Services Department is part of the expansion of community health centers tied to the Affordable Care Act.

Brad Bertrand, C.E.O. of the Foundation says they are on a tight timeline now……

The health center will be located in the Pavilion on the Avera Sacred Heart Hospital Campus.

Bertrand says they will offer a wide variety of services……….

Bertrand says they serve the entire community with a focus on low income people or those with no insurance………
