Colabello Back With Twins

Colabello Back With Twins

The Minnesota Twins have recalled Chris Colabello from Triple-A Rochester to take Joe Mauer’s spot on the roster.

Mauer was placed on the seven-day concussion disabled list Tuesday. He experienced dizziness during his pregame routine Tuesday and was scratched from the lineup for Wednesday’s series opener in Detroit.

Colabello was in the lineup as a first baseman against the Tigers. The rookie, who can play first base or in the outfield, hit .221 with four homers and eight RBIs in his first 29 games this year with the Twins.
