Chain Restaurant Council Wants RFS Repealed

The National Council of Chain Restaurants is asking for repeal of the Renewable Fuel Standard. NCCR Executive Director Rob Green says a Price Waterhouse study done in 2012 shows severe economic loss to his group’s members due to elements of the RFS leading to increased corn prices.

Green says NCCR has joined a coalition known as Feed, Food, Fairness, Take RFS off the menu. He says they’re supporting bi partisan companion legislation to repeal the Renewable Fuel Standard.

Green says those interested in joining their cause or wanting to know more can go to their website off the menu.org.
