Car Connected To Cold Case Found

State and county authorities say a car recovered from a creek in Union County is believed to be connected to the 1971 disappearance of two seventeen year old Vermillion girls. At a news conference at the Union County Courthouse in Elk Point, Attorney General Marty Jackley says there is some solid evidence they found on the car…

The two girls were last seen on May 29th, 1971.  Jackley says the forensic investigation will be extensive…

Jackley says they are keeping focused on finding information related to the two missing girls…

Jackley refused to say if any remains or clothing items were found in and near the car. The car was found in Brule (brew-lee) Creek, near Richland, north of Elk Point.
