Biodiesel Board Likes EPA Volume Requirements For The Fuel

Biodiesel Board Likes EPA Volume Requirements For The Fuel

Not only is the ethanol industry pleased with the Renewable Fuel Standard volume requirements released by the Environmental Protection Agency this week but so is the National Biodiesel Board.  EPA ‘s rule finalizes an earlier proposal requiring that 2.75 billion gallons of advance biofuel be blended this year.  National Biodiesel Board’s Ben Evans says EPA officials showed good judgment in releasing that requirement.

Evans says Biodiesel met most of the RFS requirements last time and expects to be able to fill it this time.

He says the decision by EPA shows they have flexibility in administering the RFS and setting the proper targets and are doing a good job.
