ASA President Pleased With House Passage Of WRDA Bill

ASA President Pleased With House Passage Of WRDA Bill

Wednesday night, The U.S. House on a 417 to 3 vote overwhelming approved the Water Resources Reform and Development Act.  American Soybean Association President Danny Murphy says the waterways measure is critical for soybean growers in getting their product out to export markets.

Murphy says the House WRDA bill is good legislation that eliminates bureaucratic red tape and allows water development to be funded unlike past legislation that was passed but not funded.

Murphy is hoping House and Senate members will conference the bill soon and get it to the President for final passage.
