Affordable Care Act Designed for Rural Areas.

The first stages of the federal Affordable Care Act became effective Tuesday with the opening of the on line marketplaces. Those eligible could begin the process of finding health insurance coverage.

Jon Bailey at the Center for Rural Affairs (in Lyons Nebraska) has some advice for those looking for coverage………While the battle over the Affordable Care Act in Congress has led to a government shutdown, Bailey says they don’t think it will lead to a future rollback of the insurance marketplaces…

Bailey says the marketplace system should be a good fit for people in rural areas……
