Administration Leaders Call For Immigration Bill Passage

Administration Leaders Call For Immigration Bill Passage

Tuesday, Administration leaders spoke out in favor of Congress approving an immigration reform bill this year.  Both Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano say the Senate’s immigration legislation is a good measure. Vilsack says without it, needed ag production will be lost, jobs will be outsourced and the economy will suffer.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano says the Senate Immigration legislation is a good border security bill.

Napolitano says the legislation has a good entry, exit provision and will flush out those who have overstayed their visas and other illegals where U.S. government officials will be able to get them registered and their finger prints on file.
