A Royal Sweep

James Shields and two relievers combined on a five-hitter as the Royals reeled off their ninth straight win with a 9-2 triumph over the Twins at Target Field.  Scott Diamond was rocked for all seven runs in five-plus frames to fall to 5-and-10.  Justin Morneau  homered for Minnesota.  Diamond and Aaron Hicks were optioned to Triple-A Rochester after the game. Oswaldo Arcia is being recalled from the minors and the Twins will add a pitcher to the roster over the weekend.
