Emergency Services Practice Mass Immunizations

The South Dakota Department of Health and Yankton County Emergency Services co-sponsored a P.O.D. or point of distribution exercise at Yankton High School Tuesday.

DeYoung says besides being a practice run for emergency services, they were actually doing immunizations……

DeYoung says they were also proving a teaching moment for students from Mount Marty College……

Yankton Police Chief Brian Paulsen was the incident commander, and said it is a good walk through for all the agencies……

Besides the Yankton agencies, others participating in the drill included Bon Homme County Office of Emergency Management, Bon Homme School District, Gayville Fire Department, South Dakota Department of Corrections and the state Human Services Center.
