Northwestern College’s art, English and music departments will present a collaborative fine arts event Monday, February 22nd, at 7 p-m in the college’s Te Paske Gallery.  The evening will center on the biblical story of Leah in the book of Genesis and will feature written, musical and visual work by people from Northwestern College and the community of Orange City.  Art and poetry will be on display February 15th to the 26th; music will be performed the evening of Feb. 22nd.

The Te Paske Gallery is located in Northwestern’s Korver Visual Arts Center along Highway 10 in Orange City.  Gallery hours are 8 a-m to midnight Monday through Saturday and 1 p-m to midnight Sunday.

Preschool & Kindergarten Preview Event

Calvary Kids Preschool will hold a special Preschool & Kindergarten Preview event on Tuesday, February 23.  Prospective preschool students (for those age 3 or 4 by September 1, 2016) are invited to attend the morning session from 8:30-9:30 a.m.  Students who would be in Junior Kindergarten or Kindergarten for the 2016-2017 school year are invited to attend the afternoon session from 12:30-1:30 p.m.  This is a wonderful opportunity for children to experience preschool alongside our current preschoolers.


Space is limited, so please contact the Calvary office at (605) 665-5594 to register.  The event will be held at Calvary Kids Preschool, 2407 Broadway.

Noon Forums at Mount Marty College

The Noon Forums for the spring semester at Mount Marty College will begin on Thursday, January 28, with a presentation by Dr. Chun Wu and MMC Students, entitled “BRIN research, past and future.”

Each Thursday on the Yankton campus, presenters will give a talk on a variety of topics.  The events are held over the lunch hour in the South Dining Room of the Roncalli Center and are free and open to the public.  Brown bag lunches are welcome and visitors are also able to purchase food from MMC dining services.
