Weather permitting, milling and asphalt overlay work will begin on September 24th, east and west of Fordyce. The project will begin on Highway N-12 at the Highway US 81/Highway N-12 Junction, extend to Junction of N-12/N-57 and will also include the Fordyce Spur, S-14A, according to the Nebraska Department of Roads. Approximate completion date for this 9.2 mile project is early November. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through this area.

 Nebraska Dept of Roads- Hwy 81 Surface and Bridge Repair project that begins at the US-81/ N-12 Junction and proceeds north approximately 8 miles to the US-81/ N-121 Junction in nearing the third and final phase. Repairs to the bridge, located approximately 3 miles north of Hwy N-12 should be completed the last week in August, weather permitting. When bridge repairs are complete, surface milling and asphalt paving on the entire length of the project will begin. Motorist are urged to use caution when traveling in this area. Anticipated project completion is mid October.

Crofton East Project – Improvements to Highway N-12 have begun, according to the Department of Rads. The project begins at the west edge of Crofton and extends to the US-81 Junction. Work currently underway includes removal and replacement of some intersections as well as curb and gutter and wheelchair ramps. The second phase of the project will include removal and replacement of the driving surface. Traffic will be maintained using flaggers and pilot vehicles. Project completion will be sometime in late fall. Drivers are urged to use caution when traveling through this area.
