CONSUMERS LISTEN

•Rural people in the region are listening: On average from 5AM until 7PM, WNAX reaches one/third of all rural people who are listening to radio hourly. This includes a 39 county region across South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa. In that 37,000 square-mile region our word carries weight with producers.

•What hours can you reach the most rural people: Across the region 40.1% of the rural people listening to radio are tuned to WNAX from 9A-10A. Next in line is 8A-9A with a 39.9 share; 10A-11A with a 37.5 share; 7A-8A with a 37.1 share; and 6A-7A with a 36.5 share.

•WNAX offers a strong weekly reach: Almost 52% of all rural people listen to WNAX sometime during the week from 5A-7P. Over 39% of all rural people listen to WNAX during the week from 8A-11A. Over 36% listen from 5A-8A.

•WNAX reaches the farmer and rural lifestyle group: Not all rural people are farming. Nearly two-thirds of the non-metro population is employed full or part-time in a profession other than farming. More than half are employed in white-collar occupations (29.6% in professional/managerial and 23.6% in clerical/sales positions). Over 70% of this group is over the age of 35 with over 38% between 35 and 55.

•WNAX reaches a vital CONSUMER market: Not only are residents of rural counties more likely to use radio over other media, but they also rely more on radio than other media as a source of information. With our legendary farm coverage, focus on weather, unchallenged news credibility, comprehensive sports coverage, and intelligent, issues based talk features, Radio 570/WNAX delivers your consumers from the urban and rural areas in and 150 miles around Yankton. Spendable income that represents a potential gold mine for the smart advertising buyer.

•What market are you trying to reach? WNAX has a strong reach in the five state regions of North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. Your account representative can run a listener report for most any area which you want to reach. Reports can be segmented by type of farmer (cattle, hog, soybean, corn, wheat, etc.) Ask for details and let WNAX help you make the most of your marketing dollar.
