At 2:12 pm Saturday June 16 Yankton Police Department received a call regarding a body in the Missouri River. The Yankton Search and Rescue team retrieved the body approx. 1 mile East of Discovery Bridge. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday June 18th and we hope to provide a positive identification in the near future. The recovered body had similar clothing to the missing person of our week long search, Jeffrey Potts. Yankton Search and Rescue were assisted by Yankton Police Department, Cedar County Sheriff’s Office, Crofton Police Department and Nebraska and South Dakota Game and Parks.
